Recharging Algorithm for Fetal Pacemaker | Medical Device Development Facility, USC 

Feasibility Study on Brain Computer Interface | Applied Electrophysiology Course, USC 

  • Performed literature review on detailed functioning of multiple BCI technologies.

  • Analyzed the devices in terms of signal source, processing, machine learning methods and applications.

  • Created a comparative analysis to summarize the feasibility of these devices and suggested improvements. 

Modeling Calcium ion flow dependent Smooth Muscle cell | Summer Research Project, USC 

  • Studied various muscle cell models for the response of calcium channels to electrical stimulus in smooth muscle cells.

  • Simulated the effect of Ca2+ ion flow within smooth muscle cell when stimulated using MATLAB.

  • Developed a modified smooth muscle model to fit the curves observed in animal experiments consistent to muscle force. 

Project Management on a Bridge prototyping project | Project Management Course, USC 

 

  • Organized project proposals, schedule and cost plans, work breakdown structure, risk plans, audit reports.

  • Applied project management tools like critical path, top-down budgeting, earned value analysis for successful completion.

  • Conducted weekly meetings with team and prepared customer reports. 

H-H & Cerebellar Sequence Learning Model Simulation | Advanced Nervous System Course, USC 

  • Simulated neuronal firing plots of HH Model in current and voltage clamp modes in MATLAB.

  • Simulated a patterned sequence learning system to represent Cerebellar function called "Hebbian Learning" in MATLAB. 

Supplier Quality Audit Project | Quality Systems and Standards Course, USC 

  • Developed a document for internal audit of Supply department after review of FDA guidelines.

  • Audit document included comments for quality testing, protocol compliance and risk analysis and mitigation measures.

  • Gained Technical writing experience for Quality audits and Regulations affecting supplier qualification in healthcare.

Manufacturing Strategy Dvelopment For Novel Peptide | Medical Product Regulation Course, USC

  • Determined the manufacturing options to produce a peptide to treat Erectile Dysfunction.

  • Proposed a process of developing the facility considering it’s scientific, regulatory and finance factors during drug development.

  • Gained Technical writing experience for Regulations affecting new drug manufacture.

Creatinine Biosensor | Research Intern, Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay

  • Project involved design, development and testing and data analysis of a portable colorimetric device to detect creatinine concentration from samples of both solution form and strip form.

  • Achieved successful solution based sample production and created test solutions and test biosensor strips.

  • Developed and tested a prototype device using embedded system design to detect concentration by colorimetry from samples.

  • The project included designing the device using RGB sensor and AVR micro-controller and calibration for both Urine concentration and blood concentration range.

  • It also included the study of human physiology and performing the necessary biochemistry reactions to obtain sample solutions and strips.

Integrated Circuit (IC) Tester | Microcontroller and Embedded Systems Course, University of Mumbai

  • Designed a 74XX series Integrated Circuit Tester by integrating an 8051 Micro-controller circuit, LCD and keypad.

  • Tested the proper working of any given 74XX series IC using C++ and implemented it onto the chip using Keil μVision.

  • Performed PCB design and Soldering to implement the circuit. 

Persistance of Vision | Embedded Systems Certification, ThinkLABS - Mumbai

  • Designed a POV System showing different patterns using Motor and LEDs.

  • Demonstrated lighting patterns using an AVR Micro-controller ATMEGA32 using AVR Studio and WINAVR software.

  • Used DevC++ platform for testing C Code.
